CMake Config with Visual Studio on lighttpd

Posted on August 24, 2026 by aschenbach

I was trying to figure out how to compile source code of lighttpd on windows using CMake then compile it using VS-Studio 2022.

`cmake -G “Visual Studio 17 2022” -A x64 -S . -B build`

The problem is that the source code doesnt like compiling it with VS-Studio 2022, where there were 9 different errors received during compilation. According to the website, you can compile lighttpd source code using cygwin on windows platform. Will try to use CMake to generate CMake Config instructional file towards cygwin and try to compile it using cygwin instead.
